Chloë Mortaud (born September 19, 1989 in France) was first elected Miss Albigeois Midi-Pyrénées in 2008, then Miss France 2009. She was fifth runner-up at Miss Universe 2009 (where she competed with 82 other contestants), and finished third runner-up among 111 contestants at Miss World 2009.

Chloë is the 62nd Miss France titleholder. She was elected on Saturday, December 6, 2008 during a live TF1 broadcast at the Grand Carousel of Puy du Fou, in Vendée. She is the first Miss France of dual nationality since she is not only French, but also a U.S. citizen (by her American mother). Her father is an agricultural consultant and her mother is an English teacher.

Chloë grew up in the county of Ariège. She obtained her high school diploma, with honors, in Economics and Social Science. She continued her studies at the University of Mirail in Applied Foreign Languages, studying English, Spanish and Chinese. After completing her first year at the University of Mirail, she applied and was selected for the International Business program at Lycée Ozenne in Toulouse.

Miss France

On December 6, 2008, Chloë succeeded Valerie Bègue as Miss France. The jury, presided by the internationally known singer and actress Line Renaud, included the singer Anggun, the actor Benoît Poelvoorde, Rachel Legrain-Trapani (Miss France 2007), French film director Patrice Leconte, and fashion designer Kenzo Takada.

Miss France Year

Chloë attended the history-making inauguration of Barack Obama at the invitation of the French Embassy in Washington, D.C. She is the first Miss France to have posed for the fashion magazine Cosmopolitan during her year. Chloë was the "ambassador" for Bertollucci jewelry and watches for a year. She was also the only active Miss France to have been invited to an Amphar charity dinner (the biggest event of its kind), which took place during the Cannes Film Festival.

After Miss France

In February 2010, Chloë walked for Jean Paul Gauthier during the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. In March of the same year, she walked for Jean Paul Gauthier's ready-to-wear collection. In June 2010, Chloë took the leap and moved to the United States, where she signed with the prestigious modelling agency Elite NYC. She is currently with Elite Los Angeles. Chloë has worked for renowed designers such as Rolando Santana and the great Stephen Burrows (setting the tone as First Face two years running for Mr. Burrows during New York Fashion Week). In September 2010, Chloë was chosen for a one-year international campaign for the "Black Up" cosmetics brand.
